About

The encyclopedia

If you were born in the 80s like I was, you already know. We grew up watching the absolute peak of Japanese automotive engineering unfold. JDM Mei Kan is born from that lifelong passion—a curated reference project dedicated to the cars that defined an era.

This isn't a classifieds site or a free-for-all wiki. It's a structured look at the generations, powertrains, and cultural impact of Japanese Domestic Market cars. When you open a profile here, the goal is for you to leave with a complete picture of what makes a specific chassis matter, whether you're deep into research or just daydreaming about your next build.

As a frontend developer, I built this site to house that knowledge, but it is very much a side project. I will be adding new entries and refining the data as often as I can find the time. It's a living project that will evolve over time. If you spot something that needs a second look, or if you have ideas on how to make the encyclopedia even better, your suggestions are always welcome.
